The Indian car manufacturer Tata has no plans to introduce any models with hybrid propulsion in the future.

Instead, the company wants to focus on a mix of models featuring internal combustion engines and pure electric cars. The plan for the beginning of next year is to launch no fewer than four new electric SUVs. One of these is the production version of the Curvv Concept that we saw last year.

By 2026, Tata aims for electric cars to account for 25 percent of sales in India, and by 2030, that figure is expected to be raised to 50 percent. It is believed that internal combustion engines will remain an important and significant part of India’s automotive landscape throughout the rest of the decade.
