Cars with Android software (not Android Auto) will now receive apps such as YouTube, Waze, and video conferencing apps like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex.

The feature of being able to watch YouTube videos while parked will be available “in the coming weeks” for Volvo and Polestar cars. More car brands will receive the app later. Video conferencing tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco Webex will also be available in cars with “Google built-in,” but only for audio.

Car manufacturers using Android Automotive include Volvo, Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Renault, and Honda. Ford is another manufacturer that is also transitioning to Google’s Android Automotive.
