Internally referred to as the “e-building,” it is set to be completed in June next year. Ferrari will manufacture fully electric models as well as hybrids in this facility.

However, the first electric car is not expected to arrive until the end of 2025. In addition to cars, powertrains will also be produced on-site. Currently, Ferrari has two hybrids in its lineup – the 296 GTB and SF90. These currently account for 35 percent of sales.

By 2026, the manufacturer expects electric cars and hybrids to make up 60 percent of their sales. This figure is projected to rise to 80 percent by 2030. Ferrari’s next electrified vehicle could be the rumored plug-in hybrid SUV, Purosangue.
