Einride is now launching its self-driving electric truck in the UK, and the first commercial partner there is the PepsiCo brand Walkers.
They will transport goods with the trucks between factories in Leicester and Coventry. It is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 1600 tons over a three-year period. The trucks will drive on motorways such as M1, M5, and M6, and in major cities such as London, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham, and Bristol. The journeys will be planned, optimized, and monitored through the mobility platform Einride Saga.
