In 2007, Koenigsegg developed a competition car adapted to participate in Fia GT races. The creation was called CCGT and was based on the CCR model.

It featured a V8 engine with over 600 horsepower and a six-speed sequential gearbox. The body and parts of the chassis were made of carbon fiber, and the weight was kept low at one ton. Inside, it had a roll cage and a racing seat.

However, only one unit was produced. Two months after the car was completed, the regulations changed. The requirement became the production of 350 cars instead of 20 per year, and the use of carbon fiber bodies was no longer allowed, so the car was set aside.

Now it has been brought out again, and it will be auctioned off during this year’s Goodwood Festival. The expected price range is £3 million to £4 million.
