Cadillac is now introducing a new flagship SUV, and it’s the behemoth Escalade that is getting the electric treatment. It’s named the Escalade IQ, and no corners have been cut in its development.

This massive vehicle features a 200 kWh battery pack, a range of up to 720 km, all-wheel drive, dual electric motors delivering a combined output of up to 760 horsepower, and screens that span the entire dashboard. The 0-100 km/h acceleration is estimated to take around five seconds, and it can tow up to 3.6 tons. The car operates on an 800-volt system and, with fast chargers, you can gain 160 km of range in just ten minutes. It also includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing you to use the car as a power source for your home.

In terms of design, the model draws inspiration from its sibling, the Lyriq, particularly in the front. The rear end has a distinctive look that might not appeal to everyone. Up front, there’s a trunk that offers 325 liters of space. Behind the third row of seats, you have 650 liters, and folding these down increases it to 1958 liters. Folding down both rear rows expands the space to a whopping 3374 liters.

The doors are electrically powered, and all four can be opened with a button press. The driver’s door can sense when the driver is approaching and can open before they reach it. The car measures 5.69 meters in length, 2.38 meters in width, 1.93 meters in height, and boasts a wheelbase of 3.46 meters.
