In 2026, Aston Martin plans to release an electric car that will be developed with the help of components from Lucid.

They will utilize electric motors and other technologies from Lucid, and as part of the deal, Lucid became a stakeholder in the brand. Another stakeholder is Geely, and it has now been confirmed that Geely will also provide parts for the car. Geely will supply seats and HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) components.

Aston Martin has a history of sourcing components from other manufacturers. They currently acquire engines from Mercedes-Benz, and during their time as a Ford-owned brand, Volvo parts could be found in their cars.
