Story Overview
Welcome to the village of Minato where you will meet the allies who will aid you in your hunt and help you protect the people of Azuma. From blacksmiths to scientists, each one will be crucial to your survival against the fierce Kemono. Master ancient tech to hunt down giant beasts. In this action packed twist on the hunting genre, technology gives you a fighting chance against giant nature-infused beasts.
What are Kemono?
Kemono are large beasts that have fused with nature. Allowing them to modify their environment with different powers and combat hunters. These giant beasts wield the power of nature itself, and none could stand against their might. Until you, a hunter, armed with deadly weapons and ancient Karakuri technology, could turn the tide of battle.
What is Karakuri?
Karakuri is an ancient technology that helps you to build new and creative hunting grounds to take down your opponents, the giant Kemono. Wild Hearts features many Karakuri that you are able to unlock by collecting materials. Both weapons and tools Karakuri will help you both build and destroy. From setting traps, delivering devastating damage to training and swift travel.
There are three types of Karakuri
Basic Karakuri – that can aid in exploring hunting areas and fighting Kemono
Fusion Karakuri – that can either offer protection or increased damage
Dragon Karakuri – extra-powerful weapons and devices with special characteristics, but these do require more materials to build.
Outside the village of Minato there are various regions to explore. These regions are based on the four seasons, along with the final stage – on the Sacred mountain. Each region is vast, with lots of exploring, hunting, and crafting; you will encounter loading sequences when you travel between each region.
