Polygon reports that the horror game Iron Lung has experienced increased sales in recent days. This is believed to be due to the ongoing submarine drama involving Titan, the underwater vehicle belonging to the company OceanGate, which disappeared along with five individuals near the wreckage of the Titanic on Sunday.
Iron Lung is developed by indie developers David Szymanski and involves piloting a small submarine through an ocean of blood on an alien planet. Szymanski himself commented on the increased sales since the disappearance of Titan, saying, “This feels so wrong.”
Earlier this year, it was also announced that YouTuber and director Mark Edward “Markiplier” Fischbach will be making a film based on Iron Lung. However, it is unclear when we can expect to see it.
Above is a trailer for the game Iron Lung. You can find the game on Steam for $5. Among the recent comments about the game on Steam, many of which employ dark humor, most seem to refer to the submarine drama involving Titan in the Atlantic.
