The Dolphin emulator will soon be available on Steam, making it easier to play most of Nintendo’s old GameCube and Wii games on computers running Windows 10 or higher. This also means that it will be possible to run emulated Nintendo games on Valve’s handheld console, the Steam Deck.

The Dolphin emulator on Steam will be free and will not come with any games. As for emulated games, it’s still a bit of a gray area. Dolphin states that they do not in any way support piracy, and the player must own the original version of the game being emulated through Dolphin.

Sometime in the end of the second quarter of this year, the Dolphin emulator will be released in an Early Access version on Steam.
