Sea of Stars has been out for about a week and has received both excellent reviews and good sales. As you may know, it’s a Kickstarter-funded game, and the campaign also promised DLC for it. In an interview with Radio-Canada (via kakuchopurei), Sabotage Studio’s CEO, Thierry Boulanger, revealed that work on this DLC has now begun.
According to him, they are divided into two teams, with one working on the DLC and the other working on their next game. The DLC is named “Throes of the Watchmaker” and is described as a fully-fledged side adventure that “expands the world of Sea of Stars and provides further insight into the overarching narrative of all our games.” Sea of Stars is set in the same world as their previous game, The Messenger, but with thousands of years of time difference.
We don’t have a release date yet, but an educated guess is that it will come out sometime next year.
