Earlier this year, Daedalic Entertainment released their Lord of The Rings game, The Lord of The Rings: Gollum, which, according to both critics and players, wasn’t great.

Not surprisingly, it didn’t sell particularly well, leading to devastating consequences. Yesterday, Daedalic Entertainment announced that they will no longer be developing any games and have also laid off a number of employees. Instead, they will entirely focus on publishing games developed by other studios.

Daedalic had another Lord of The Rings game in the works, but it has been cancelled, so the last thing we will see from Daedalic in terms of development is a patch for the Gollum game.
