During yesterday’s Summer Game Fest, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. showcased gameplay from their upcoming fighting game, Mortal Kombat 1, for the first time.
Despite its name, Mortal Kombat 1 is actually the twelfth installment in the Mortal Kombat series and a sequel to Mortal Kombat 11. One of the new features in the upcoming game is the introduction of something called “Kameo Fighters,” playable characters that serve as a kind of assist assistant to the main character being played.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on September 19th.
