Signify has now begun rolling out its Matter update for Philips Hue Bridge owners, which means that Hue is now compatible with the new smart home standard.
Philips Hue products should now be controllable from any Matter control app. For those who only control Philips Hue lights through the Apple Home app or the Hue app, nothing will change. However, for users who own third-party lighting with Matter support, they should now be able to install and control these accessories through the Hue app, provided they own a Matter interface router, such as an Apple TV 4K, HomePod, or Nest Wifi Pro.
Pairing codes for Matter-compatible accessories can be requested in the Hue app by pressing the plus button in settings -> Smart Home screen.
