Anker is now launching its first chargers with support for the new Qi2 standard, which, like Apple’s MagSafe, uses magnets to secure a proper connection to the device. It’s not entirely unlikely that these could become among the first non-MagSafe chargers capable of charging iPhones at 15W, if the iPhone 15 series were to support the new Qi2 standard.

Given Apple’s involvement in creating the Qi standard, it’s quite possible that the new devices might be chargeable by Anker’s new MagGo. Anker’s first Qi2-updated MagGo hardware is the portable Power Bank, shown above. It features a kickstand and a USB-C port to charge other devices at up to 27W. It also includes an LCD screen on the side, making it easier to keep track of the remaining juice in the 10,000mAh battery.

The company’s previous chargers were “compatible” with MagSafe but couldn’t charge at the same efficiency as certified MagSafe chargers.
