Four additional series fall victim to the series death – among those silently cut are “Star Trek: Prodigy” and the Grease spinoff “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies” on Paramount+.

The Paramount+ series that are being cut are “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies,” the animated “Star Trek: Prodigy,” “The Game,” which focuses on Black culture and American football, and the competition show “Queen of the Universe”.

According to a spokesperson for the service, they will not return to the streaming platform.

According to Variety, an informed source states that the decision was based on the series’ viewership numbers, although no specific data has been presented as reasons for the series’ cancellation. It is just one of countless examples of silent cancellations of content on American streaming platforms like Discovery and Disney+.

The news of the series’ cancellation comes just days before the merger of Paramount+ and Showtime, which will take place on June 27. Showtime series such as “Dexter,” “Billions,” and the popular series “Yellowjackets” starring Melanie Lynskey will be available to all subscribers of the service.
