One of the music industry’s most prestigious awards, the Grammy Awards, has updated its rules to limit the use of artificial intelligence in music creation.

According to the new rules, only music created by human creators is eligible for the award, but music created with the help of AI can qualify in certain categories. How this will be enforced is unclear, but perhaps we will find out one day.

Other new rules state that music creators must also contribute at least 20 percent of an album to be eligible for nomination. Previously, anyone involved in the production of an album, even with a minor role, could receive a nomination.
