Not even the mightiest superheroes can escape the ongoing screenwriters’ strike in Hollywood. Disney announces that they need to rearrange their production schedule, which not only affects Avatar 3 and upcoming Star Wars films but also Marvel’s beloved superheroes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Numerous Marvel movies (yes, practically all of them) are being delayed. The delays range from just a few months to a whole year. Among the affected titles, we find Avengers: Secret Wars and Captain America: Brave New World. However, if you’re a fan of Ryan Reynolds’ spandex-clad hero who speaks fluent sarcasm, you can breathe a sigh of relief. Deadpool 3 will have an earlier theatrical release – by as much as half a year.

A disappointing setback for all Marvel fans, of course. On the bright side, it may provide an opportunity to further fine-tune the productions. If nothing else, you’ll probably have time to catch up on any Marvel movies you might have missed.

The new release dates for Marvel’s films are as follows:

• Deadpool 3 – May 3, 2024 (previously November 8, 2024)

• Captain America: Brave New World – July 26, 2024 (previously May 3, 2024)

• Fantastic Four – May 2, 2025 (previously February 14, 2025)
