Marvel producer Brad Winderbaum revealed yesterday that Marvel Studios will be creating an animated TV series titled Eyes of Wakanda. Wakanda is the fictional sci-fi nation in the Marvel Universe, home to Black Panther.
The series may potentially revolve around various individuals who have been Black Panther before the more well-known T’Challa. Marvel writes about the series:
Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous vibranium artifacts. This is their story.
To date, there are about ten known Black Panthers, including Emperor N’Jadaka, Bashenga, Azzuri the Wise, White Tiger, Killmonger, and T’Challa’s father T’Chaka, his uncle S’Yan, and his sister Shuri.
There is no information yet on when Eyes of Wakanda will premiere, likely on Disney+. However, there is speculation that it may happen sometime in 2025.
