iPadOS 17 is rumored to get the same type of lock screen with widgets that was released for iOS 16 last year, at least if we are to believe the leaker Analyst941, who has previously been right about details regarding Dynamic Island.

iPadOS 16 has the same old lock screen that we’ve seen for a few generations now, where the only thing a user can really customize is the background image. With the new lock screen, users would be able to add widgets, access several different new types of background images, use the depth effect for the clock, and link different lock screens to different focus modes.

As usual, Apple is expected to showcase its upcoming versions of iOS and iPadOS at WWDC on June 5th, so we should hear more then.
