Last year, Apple changed the chassis design of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus to make the phones easier to repair, but the same design did not extend to the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.
However, according to Mark Gurman, the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max may feature the new chassis. This change could result in the iPhone 15 Pro models having a removable back glass, which repairers can open without having to dismantle the entire phone. With the chassis redesign, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus became the first iPhone models that can be opened from both the front and back of the device since the iPhone 4S in 2011.
The new design should lead to lower prices for replacing the shattered glass on the back of the phones.
