Apple is now opening its first store in India. Apple BKC, can be found in Mumbai’s financial and art district, Bandra Kurla Complex.
According to Apple, Apple BKC is designed to be one of the most energy-efficient Apple stores in the world and is carbon neutral in operation, using 100 percent renewable energy. The store has its own solar power plant and does not use any fossil fuels.
The store has a handmade timber roof structure and, like many other Apple stores, uses a lot of glass for an open feel. Apple BKC has over 100 employees who speak over 20 languages.
Apple BKC will offer the Today at Apple series, “Mumbai Rising”, from April 18 and throughout the summer.
