Apple has acquired the small AR company Mira, which has manufactured the Prism Pro AR headset for smartphones. Mira has also created AR solutions for the U.S. military and the AR headset used for the “Mario Kart” attraction at Super Nintendo World.
It remains unclear what Apple plans to do with Mira’s technology. It is not entirely impossible that the employees from Mira, who will now work for Apple, will be involved in the development of the Vision Pro, the AR headset that Apple showcased for the first time last Monday.
There is currently no information available about the financial details of Apple’s acquisition of Mira.
