The dating service Tinder has started testing an artificial intelligence that can select the best profile pictures for successful matching on the platform, as reported by TechCrunch.
The new feature can autonomously go through a user’s photo library and pick out the five pictures that the AI deems best to represent the user on the platform. The primary idea behind the feature seems to be providing users with a quicker way to choose pictures that suit their profile.
Whether this feature will be released on Tinder remains unclear for now. Tinder has previously experimented with AI features to match users with each other. They are also considering developing an AI feature that could write users’ description texts, so users wouldn’t have to do it themselves, as reported by TechCrunch.
