The American company Futuri Media has developed an AI called RadioGPT, which they claim can handle much of the work performed by radio presenters and other radio personalities at radio stations.

RadioGPT uses AI-generated synthetic voices and can read weather reports, traffic information, and news reports, as well as do the in-between talk when there is no music playing on the radio station. Futuri Media says that RadioGPT is primarily powered by bots based on OpenAI’s language model, GPT-4.

Futuri has set up a sample station called “RadioGPT” that uses their technology, which you can listen to if you are interested.
