Google has given its generative artificial intelligence a new skill that may be of interest to programmers. With the new skill, Bard can now assist as a sort of programming assistant that programmers can consult for various code-related questions.
Bard is said to be trained to handle around 20 programming languages, including C++, Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, and TypeScript, Google writes in a blog post. In addition to suggesting code, Bard can also be used to debug the user’s program, explain what a specific syntax in a program actually does, write documentation for a program, and translate between different programming languages.
