During a Ted Talk, former Apple designer and founder of Humane, Imran Chaudhri, talked about the company’s goals and for the first time showed a prototype of what the company has been working on.

The device that was shown is a screenless device that doesn’t require a connection to a nearby phone. Instead of a screen, it projects information onto the user’s palm, which can then be controlled by voice or gesture. The device itself is attached at chest height or, for example, in a breast pocket.

In the demo, he answers a call from his wife while receiving information about the call directly in his hand. Exactly what AI means in this case remains to be seen. Chaudhri says the company will reveal more in the coming days.

In the clip below, you can watch the demo from the presentation.
