Google has already started rolling out AI assistants for several Google Workspace apps, such as Docs and Slides. Now, AI support has also come to Sheets, which means you can easily use AI to enhance your spreadsheets.

Through a sidebar, you can simply type in what you want to achieve, and then Google’s Duet AI will assist you with tasks like calculations and customized templates. For example, you can write that you want to create “a list of dangerous South American animals with descriptions and locations,” and then the AI will generate a nice spreadsheet for you that lists this information with columns for descriptions.

However, not everyone gets to play with this feature, as you need to be registered for Google Workspace Labs and have been selected to use it. It is currently unclear when Google will roll this out to the broader public.
