Google has entered into a partnership with the programming platform Replit, which means that Replit’s users will have access to Google’s cloud infrastructure and AI technology when they program.
Replit has already started developing the Ghostwriter service, which uses artificial intelligence to suggest code that can be used in developers’ software. With Google’s expertise in generative AI, this service can probably become even better and compete with Copilot X, the generative AI service recently introduced by Microsoft’s programming service, GitHub.
Replit states that they currently have about 20 million users who can use their cloud service to code in about 50 different programming languages. In the video below, you can see some of the things that Replit’s AI service Ghostwriter can already help with today.
