The Information reports that SpaceX’s space internet provider, Starlink, has initiated a partnership with Cloudflare, the CDN company perhaps best known for its service that protects websites from DDoS attacks.

The idea behind the collaboration is for Cloudflare to assist Starlink in delivering internet content faster to Starlink’s customers. The exact nature of the collaboration is not clear, but I assume that Starlink will utilize Cloudflare’s infrastructure and data centers around the world to deliver web content requested by Starlink’s customers more quickly.

Cloudflare’s stock rose over seven percent on the stock market after news broke of their partnership with SpaceX and Starlink, reports Reuters.
