Samsung is now unveiling its new brand, Exynos Connect, with the first product being the new ultra-wideband chip, Exynos Connect U100. Like Apple’s U1 chip, which is used in AirTags and iPhones, the chip can be used, for example, to measure the distance between two objects, each with its own ultra-wideband chip.
The new chip is said to have a precision of just a few centimeters and should be power-efficient enough to be used in various IoT devices. It remains to be seen when the Exynos U100 will land in a device on the market, as Samsung has not yet presented any product with the chip.
