Arm does not manufacture chips itself, but it provides various types of processor cores that manufacturers can utilize.

The company has now showcased its latest chips from the Arm Cortex Immortalis series.

First, we have the Cortex-X4, which is a performance CPU and is said to offer 15% better performance than previous models while consuming 40% less power. We also have the Cortex-A720 and A520, which are expected to be 20% and 22% more efficient, respectively. Lastly, there is the new graphics component, Immortalis-G720, which aims to provide 15% better performance while occupying 40% less memory bandwidth.

TSMC will manufacture the Cortex-X4 using its “N3E” process, making Arm the first to utilize it. Neither Apple nor Qualcomm uses Arm’s CPU or GPU cores, but one company that does is MediaTek. Therefore, we can expect to see these new developments in their products first.
