Qualcomm has now unveiled its latest chip for phones in the budget segment, called Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, which aims to make phones in that segment a little more enjoyable.
The chip is designed to offer long battery life along with 5G capability. The chip features Qualcomm’s own Kryo CPU, running at up to 2.2 GHz, which is a slight increase compared to the previous generation. It also supports FHD+ displays with refresh rates of up to 120 fps.
The 4 Gen 2 chip has also received enhancements such as electronic image stabilization, faster autofocus, improved noise reduction, and more. Of course, the chip also includes certain AI capabilities to assist users in capturing photos in low-light environments and removing background noise in audio recordings.
Phones featuring this chip are expected to be available later this year.
