Qualcomm has released the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, which is a budget chipset using 4nm technology.
However, the CPU in the 7s is less powerful than any other chip in the Snapdragon 7 series, and the ISP is not as impressive either, according to GSMArena, but it’s likely reflected in a lower price.
The chipset’s CPU has four cores at 2.4 GHz for performance and four cores at 1.95 GHz for efficiency. The Adreno GPU supports FHD+ resolution at 144 Hz. The Spectra ISP supports cameras up to 200 MP and 4K video recording at 30 fps. It also supports LPDDR5 memory at 3200 MHz, USB-C 3.1, and Quick Charge 4+.
So far, there is no phone with the new chipset.
