Google has been offering the “magical eraser” feature for images for a while now, where the phone automatically edits out or masks something in an image after you’ve selected the object. Now, this feature might be coming to the video editor on Pixel phones.

In a leaked ad for the Pixel 8, we see how the phone can remove background noise from video clips. Such a feature is not new, but it’s certainly convenient if it were available directly on the phone for multiple uses, instead of users having to download an extra app that does something similar. However, it remains to be seen how well it works overall.

At the end of the video, we also see the phone in a light blue color, similar to the color we saw for the Pixel 7a earlier this year. Google is likely to unveil the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro sometime in October this year.
