Sony is introducing updated models in the A7C series – the A7C II and A7C R. The A7C II is an evolution of its 2020 predecessor and features improved AI capabilities aimed at enhancing the camera’s autofocus recognition.
It boasts a 33-megapixel Exmor R sensor and 759 phase-detection AF points. The A7C II also comes with enhanced image stabilization and video capabilities up to 4K/60p in 10-bit 4:2:2. Weighing 525 grams, it has an ISO range of 100–51,200.
The A7C R combines high resolution with a compact design, featuring the same 61-megapixel sensor as the A7R V. It also offers 7-step image stabilization and the potential for Pixel Shift Multi Shooting. The A7C R is also capable of 4K/60p in 10-bit 4:2:2.
The A7C II will be available from September, while the A7C R will be available from October.
