The popular game Vampire Survivors is expanding not only with TV series and expansions but also with regular updates. And in an upcoming update, a highly requested feature will be added. No, not vampires, but local co-op.

Starting from August 17th, up to four players will be able to tackle the creatures of the dark together, as this free update is released. The entire game and all its DLCs can be played cooperatively with others on the couch, though not online (unless using features like Steam Remote Play Together).

How will the game be balanced? One way is by having all players share the same XP meter and level up in turn. Additionally, the screen cannot be split, so all players will appear on the same screen. Whether this means encountering an invisible wall when straying too far from comrades or if the screen simply zooms out, remains to be seen.

The mobile version of the game will also support co-op, but players will need to connect Bluetooth controllers. Furthermore, Poncle announced that they have finally found the “Port to Nintendo Switch” button in their game engine, and the game will therefore be released on the console on August 17th.
