Gimli himself is heard as the narrator in the game where you are tasked with rebuilding Moria.
In the fall, the game “The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria” will be released, which takes place during the Fourth Age after the events of the films and books. Here, it is up to the dwarves to return to Moria to reclaim and restore their homeland.
In the game, you are called to the Misty Mountains by none other than Gimli, where you take control of a group of dwarves to retake Moria. Here, you can cooperate with other players to survive, craft, build, and explore the iconic mines.
In the new trailer for the game, we hear John Rhys-Davies, who portrayed Gimli in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings films. The game is coming to PC in the fall, but it is also on its way to Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in the future.
J.R.R. Tolkien and all his creations are near and dear to our hearts. This project provides a fantastic opportunity to create new experiences from one of the greatest stories ever told. We pour a lot of passion into the game to give players an unforgettable experience, says Chris Scholz, studio head.
Let’s hope the game is better than the recently released “The Lord of the Rings: Gollum,” which has received a lot of criticism.
