Director John Carpenter, known for classic films like Halloween, The Thing, Escape from New York, Christine, and They Live, has teamed up with Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment to unveil the game John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando.
It is an 80s-inspired game where players must fight their way through a zombie-filled apocalyptic world. You can check out the first trailer for the game above. The 75-year-old Carpenter himself says about the game:
It’s exciting to be collaborating on a new video game with Focus and Sabe. Look, I really like shooting zombies. They keep telling me that they’re called ’the infected.’ Please. They’re ghouls, dude. They blow up real good and there are a ton of them. People are going to love this game.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is planned for release sometime next year for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox X|S.
