Helldivers 2 was announced a while ago, and while much remains similar to its predecessor, they have also chosen to transition from a top-down to a third-person perspective. However, the focus still lies on cooperatively exterminating extraterrestrial monsters, and in a new video walkthrough, we get a glimpse of the arsenal.
In addition to the weapons held in one’s own hands, players can also receive assistance from above through the use of so-called stratagems, which return from the previous game. With these, one can, for example, call in a precision strike, a wider bombardment, new usable weapons, or a convenient turret. Enemies have varying weaknesses to different types of weapons, so it is important to be properly equipped.
Unfortunately, it’s not only enemies who suffer damage from one’s attacks but also teammates, so it’s crucial to exercise caution when calling in artillery strikes or lobbing grenades.
Helldivers 2 will be released for PlayStation 5 and PC later this year.
