You can’t be an online gamer and not hear about Grand Theft Auto Online, a multiplayer action-adventure video game published by Rockstar Games.

The online counterpart of Grand Theft Auto V, this game is set in the state of San Andreas and allows up to 30 players to engage in competitive matches. GTA 5 Online was originally released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 1, 2013 and versions for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 was released on November 18, 2014. Here’s everything you need to know about the game:

GTA 5 Online offers a wide range of interactive activities

This interactive video game is as fun as you want it to be. You and your friends can team up to tackle events, missions and activities together or you can compete against each other, depending on how you want to have fun. It offers a huge selection of interactive activities that adds a whole dimension of entertainment to players.

With GTA 5 Online, you can play in scripted Story Mode and step out at will to join multiplayer activities. You can also engage in criminal jobs with the help of other crew members and crews can join together to hang out, compete in races or play sports. You even have the option to play in Team Deathmatch and Deathmatch modes, which makes playing the game a complete experience.

GTA 5 Online gives you freedom with your characters

Characters have always played a huge role in the success of the Grand Theft Auto game and GTA 5 Online is no different. When playing the game, you can create your own characters and customize their appearance, vehicles, stats and property. As these characters gain more experience, their reputation and ranking also increases.

GTA 5 Online offers a lot of amazing features

Rockstar Games, the game’s developer and publisher, really didn’t scrimp on GTA 5 Online’s features that let players enjoy rewards during the game. For instance, Dynamic Events occur across San Andreas including Crate Drops where crates are dropped from the sky to be claimed or battled over by players. Some cars are also available to be stolen and armored cars and stores can be robbed for cash.

Players can also purchase properties using online cash. Each player is allowed a single property at a time and more expensive properties have better amenities and more vehicle storage. Bounties may also be offered by players as a reward for executing their rival.

Rockstar North constantly releases updates to improve the games modes and content, which is why it’s not surprising that GTA 5 Online is well-received by both fans and critics worldwide. Since its release in 2013, several updates have been released, each having a unique theme to add to the players’ experience.

The Beach Bum Update

The Beach Bum update in 2013 offered beach-themed jobs and customizations, the Valentine’s Day Massacre Special offered a Bonnie and Clyde-themed content for a limited time and the Festive Surprise update had four holiday themed vehicles and two new weapons.

But one of the most anticipated updates for GTA 5 Online was the Online Heists, which was released on March 10, 2015. Although it suffered some technical difficulties in the beginning, the update was still highly praised by gamers.

GTA 5 Online’s first update for the year was the Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series released last March 21, 2018 that added new races and modes to the game. Another update, After Hours, was released on July 24 and last October, rumors started to roll about a new update that will help improve gaming experience for GTA 5 Online fans.
