Techland is evidently brainstorming for Dying Light 3, but there’s still life in Dying Light 2, which was released last year. The latest update is being released today and is called “Good Night, Good Luck,” which gives a hint about what it aims to tweak.

As if zombie-filled nights weren’t bad enough, the darkest hours of the day will become even more perilous in the game. This is achieved through reduced visibility and the appearance of more dangerous types of zombies in additional locations. These include volatiles, which are muscular and agile creatures that enjoy hunting.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom, as we will also receive improved parkour mechanics in the game world. Techland has added new animations, given us more control while airborne, and expanded the ability to maintain momentum. Furthermore, players will have the option to choose between two parkour modes, with one offering more control over all movements and the other providing more assistance.

Techland will also host a stream today, where they will discuss the update and other topics.
