There were no news about Hollow Knight: Silksong at The Game Awards or any of this year’s shows, but another game might quench the thirst for Metroidvania fans. It’s called Constance and is a side-scrolling action adventure that was announced a few months ago, but has flown under our radar.
In the game, players take on the role of the painter Constance, who travels through unique environments and battles enemies with her large brush. She has various brush techniques at her disposal, but using them too much can corrupt her paint, leading to negative consequences.
The framing of the game is that it takes place in the artist’s mind, where the world is collapsing due to her mental problems.
There’s no confirmed release date yet, but a demo can be tried out on the Steam page.
