So far, Samsung has only offered its QD-OLED TVs in sizes up to 77 inches, but that may change soon, sort of.
It seems that Samsung has decided to start using 83-inch screen panels from LG Display, which utilize so-called WOLED (WRGB) panels. These panels use a white subpixel for higher brightness compared to Samsungβs QD-OLED, which uses a more conventional RGB panel.
According to Vincent Teoh from HDTVTest, it appears that despite this difference, Samsung will include this larger TV in the same model segment as its other QD-OLED panels.
