HP seems to be trying to ride some kind of retro wave and is now releasing the HP-15C calculator in a “Collections Edition” that might be of interest to the nostalgically inclined.

The HP-15C was released in 1982, back when the company was still called Hewlett-Packard. The calculator ceased to be sold in 1989, but HP re-released it in the “HP 15c Limited Edition” in 2011. The HP-15C Collector’s Edition will cost $120.

When the HP-15C was released in the USA in 1982, it cost $135, which means that the new collector’s edition, taking into account the appreciation of the dollar, is considerably cheaper than the original.
