In April, McLaren introduced the model 750S, which replaces the 720. This is the manufacturer’s lightest and most powerful model to date, and now we learn that it is probably also the last one without electrification.

Going forward, everything that is released will be hybridized, and this is as expected with all the emission regulations. It’s simply not possible to skip this as a small manufacturer, and if McLaren wants to continue using V8s, emissions need to be reduced. The model Artura is a hybrid and it helps to lower the manufacturer’s average, but the rules are tightening all the time and when it’s time for a successor to the 750S, it will also be a hybrid of some sort.
