As expected, Apple unveiled the Mac Studio with the M2 family today at WWDC. Besides upgrading the HDMI port to be truly modern, the real news lies in the chips. But that means quite a lot, actually. M2 Pro, M2 Max, and M2 Ultra are the three chips coming to the machine. Naturally, they are faster and generally deliver 50 percent more power. M2 Ultra can now support up to 192 GB of memory, which may not come cheap but is excellent for those who need it.
With M2 Ultra, you’ll be able to handle 22 8K streams simultaneously, which is impressive. Additionally, you’ll be able to connect six monitors to the machine. This can be ordered now and will be delivered next week.
