Many of you here are either involved with the marketing of a web site for another company or operate a web site or blog of your own.  For either case, being able to immediately see if a page is cached by Google would be invaluable.  That’s exactly what the Google Cache Checker extension for Firefox offers.

Gadget Advisor is proud to offer the free Google Cache Checker extension for Firefox.  The extension is lightweight, and high performance, residing conveniently in the statusbar.  It displays a checkmark icon if the current page is Google cached. If it is not, the extension displays a red X.  This makes it very quick and convenient to see if a page is Google indexed. For example, if you’re visiting a directory to see about submitting, you can see if the page you’re going to be submitting into is indexed. 1. Interesting add-on. Thanks for sharing. I just might have to install this. Firefox is definitely the best browser out there. I love the add-on feature.

  2. What a great resource. Really needed this extension. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

  3. Haven’t downloaded this (d/l link is blocked at work) but it would be GREAT if you can also click the checkmark icon to navigate to the cached page. Hope that’s the case as 90% of the websites I go to are blocked from work and I rely (sadly) on google cache to get any real research done! It’ll actually be a miracle if I can even submit this comment…

  5. Hi

Is there any chance of getting this to work for FF3 as it would be a great help to me?

  6. Why aren’t there any reviews for this plugin on the Firefox Add-ons site? Does it work?

  7. Does anyone know if an updated version is available that is compatible with Firefox v3.5.5?

  8. I take it that you haven’t developed a version that’s compatible with the latest version of FF seeing that you deleted my previous comment.

  9. I guess this addon is not available anymore? It defaults to the homepage.

Thats a shame, as I really needed it, and there doesn’t seem to be anything else out there.

  10. This handy tool isn’t supported anymore, but you can use the Google Cache Tool extension instead.
